Festival Packing List 2026: What Really Belongs in Your Backpack

No fluff, just what matters, the list we use ourselves.

Three days of performances, thirty degrees in the shade, and a campground that feels like a city of its own: A festival can forgive a lot, but not a bad packing list. Here’s the list we use ourselves. No extra baggage, just what you really need.

The Basics: Nothing Works Without These

Ticket, ID, debit or credit card, plus some cash, sounds obvious, but it’s the classic item people forget. Plus a power bank (at least 10,000 mAh, otherwise your phone won’t survive the weekend), earplugs for the night, and a small first-aid kit with blister bandages. Your feet will thank you on the third day.

Sun, Dust, 35 Degrees: Your Heat Setup

The truth about summer festivals: There’s no shade between the stages, and the heat builds up in the front row. Sunscreen (SPF 50, reapply!), a hat, and a refillable water bottle are a must. And then there’s the upgrade that makes all the difference: a hand fan. One click, fan open, and you’ve got your own breeze, right in the middle of the crowd surge in front of the main stage.

The front row isn’t just a seat. The front row is an attitude, and if you’re going all in, you’ll need some air.

Bonus: A fan is the only cooling gadget that’s also a statement. When you fan yourself during the drop, it becomes a move that everyone around you sees. For the late-night hours, there are designs that glow under UV light, made for Techno and Rave.

At Night It Gets Loud and Cold

The temperature drop after midnight catches everyone off guard the first time. Pack a warm hoodie, a lightweight rain jacket (the weather doesn’t read the forecast), and a change of socks. If you’re sleeping in a tent: go with a sleeping pad instead of an air mattress, it insulates better against the cold ground and can’t pop.

The Finishing Touches: Small but Decisive

  • Wet wipes and hand sanitizer, the shower alternative for in between
  • Trash bags: as a rain poncho replacement, laundry bag, and seat mat
  • Duct tape, fixes tents, shoes, and friendships
  • Fanny pack or neck pouch for everything that must not be lost
  • Sunglasses that can take a beating (not the expensive ones)
  • Your fan, within reach, not at the bottom of your backpack

The Packing List Compact

Documents & Money: Ticket, ID, card, cash. Tech: Power bank, charging cable, earplugs. Heat: Sunscreen, headwear, water bottle, hand fan. Night: Hoodie, rain jacket, sleeping mat, spare socks. Hygiene: Wet wipes, disinfectant gel, blister plasters. Extras: Duct tape, trash bags, fanny pack.

With this, you’re ready, for the dust, the heat, the 3 AM drop. See you in the front row. Ready to pick yours? Our homepage is the place to start for your next hand fan.
